2022 Street Improvement Project - Construction Update Friday, October 14, 2022
This week, Dresel Contracting, Inc., the contractors for the City of Vadnais Heights 2022 Street Improvement Project, continued with utility and curb improvements along Oak Crest Drive, South Oak Drive, and South Oak Court. Utility work is expected to continue next week as crews continue to make improvements to the sanitary sewer and storm sewer structures and pipes in the project area. For those affected by temporary water shut-offs, notices will be placed on residents' front doors one day in advance of planned shut-offs. Please flush your cold water regularly. The best way is to flush from your laundry tub for about 10 minutes a couple times a day, or more often if you happen to notice discolored water. Next week, the crew will also likely reclaim the road, which will grind up the existing road base and asphalt which can then be shaped and prepared for ribbon curb and paving the new blacktop. As work progresses, a minimum of one lane of traffic will continue to be left open, though please be patient when driving through the project area as it is an active construction site. We appreciate everyone’s cooperation and patience as the work progresses. Please keep children a safe distance away from activities. Thank you!
