This week, Dresel Contracting, Inc., the contractors for the City of Vadnais Heights 2022 Street Improvement Project, continued work at the Community Park parking lot by paving the first of two lifts of pavement. The surrounding trails are incomplete from the construction of the concrete ramps so please be mindful of any barricades and use caution when walking in the area. Next week, the contractor will likely pave the second and final lift of asphalt on the Community Park parking lot. 

The contractor also removed existing curb on South Oak Court. Any driveways impacted will continue to have access until curb is poured, which may happen sometime next week.  You will be given notice when you will lose access to your driveway in advance. Concrete cannot be driven on for one week after it has been poured to allow time to cure, we appreciate your continued patience in this process.

We expect utility improvements to begin next week on Oak Crest Drive and South Oak Drive. This work includes replacing bolts on gate valves, replacing gate valves where needed and making improvements to the sanitary sewer and storm sewer structures and pipes in the area. Please note, if at any time your water is discolored, you should flush your line by leaving your cold water running, once the line has been cleared, your water should return to normal. We will be flushing the main line as well, but do not be alarmed if you have issues right away. 

There should always be at least one lane of traffic open, so it should not impact any access to and from the area but please be patient as traffic will be slower. Residents will be notified if their driveway will be blocked or if their water is temporarily shut off.
