This week, Dresel Contracting, Inc., the contractors for the City of Vadnais Heights 2022 Street Improvement Project, began work on Oak Crest Drive and South Oak Drive with the removal of mostly diseased/dead trees and invasive species and the installation of temporary erosion protection. This erosion protection confines the soil within the project and protects nearby wetlands and landscaping. Significant tree replanting efforts will likely take place later this fall. This coming week will likely be a quieter week on Oak Crest Drive and South Oak Drive while the contractor prepares to begin utility improvements. 

Dresel Contracting, Inc. will continue construction at the Community Park parking lot by removing and replacing damaged curb and gutter. Once concrete is poured, it needs one week to cure before it can be driven on or used for parking. Pedestrian ramps in the parking lot will also be removed and replaced. These improvements will affect the surrounding bituminous trail. Please use caution when walking in the area.

There should always be at least one lane of traffic open, so it should not impact any access to and from the area, but please be patient as traffic will be slower.
