2021 Street Improvement Project - Construction Update

This week, T.A. Schifsky & Sons, Inc., the contractors for the City of Vadnais Heights 2021 Street Improvement Project, continued construction on Suzanne Court, Suzanne Avenue, Martin Way, and Southwood Drive as well as at Bridgewood Park and Kohler Meadows Park.
Please continue to drive with caution, as the manhole covers and gate valves continue to stick out more than usual. Restoration work such as seeding and adding topsoil continues as well. The final lift of asphalt is scheduled to be paved on Saturday, September 18, weather permitting. Please be patient and wait for the asphalt to be compacted and cooled before driving on it. The contractor will also continue work at Bridgewood Park, Kohler Meadows Park, and Stockdale Drive. They will be placing asphalt curb, grading in the green space, and raising iron in the surrounding area at the Bridgewood Park parking lot. On Stockdale Drive they will be removing and placing concrete driveway aprons. Once an apron has been poured, you cannot drive on it for a week to let the concrete cure so please be patient during this process. There should always be at least one lane of traffic open on the road so it should not impact any driving access to and from the area. Bridgewood Park will close as necessary for the contractor to perform needed work so please be mindful of signage and barriers in the area. The trail at Kohler Meadows Park is impacted, so please use caution when walking in the area.
