This week, T.A. Schifsky & Sons, Inc., the contractors for the City of Vadnais Heights 2021 Street Improvement Project, paved the base course of asphalt on Suzanne Court, Suzanne Avenue, Martin Way, and Southwood Drive.

Starting the week of August 2, the contractor will raise all iron in the streets and pedestrian ramps. This means, manhole covers and gate valves will stick out of the ground and there will be gaps in the pavement, so please drive with caution. They will also be clearing the area of any debris, backfilling the new curb to prepare it for topsoil and seed, and patch asphalt driveways.

There should always be at least one lane of traffic open, so it should not impact any access to and from the area but please be patient as traffic will be slower. Concrete sidewalk pedestrian ramps on Rice Street will be impacted so please pay attention to any barriers in the walking lane.
