The week of July 19, T.A. Schifsky & Sons, Inc., the contractors for the City of Vadnais Heights 2021 Street Improvement Project, reclaimed and milled the streets on Suzanne Court, Suzanne Avenue, Martin Way, and Southwood Drive. This process creates an even stronger base for the road than what was previously used. 

Concrete sidewalk pedestrian ramps on Rice Street are being poured so please pay attention to any barriers in the walking lane. Any concrete driveways where concrete was removed and not yet replaced, will be poured next week. 
 
Starting the week of July 26, the contractor will pave the first lift of asphalt. Once it has been compacted, you can drive on it. Please watch out for tack (black tar like liquid) placed at the base of curb because it is very sticky. Once the first lift of pavement is laid, the crew will raise all iron in the streets. This means manhole covers and gate valves will stick out of the ground and there will be gaps in the pavement, so please drive with caution. 
 
There should always be at least one lane of traffic open. Access to and from the area should not be impacted, but please be patient as traffic will be slower. There will be disruption, so thank you in advance for your patience. Please keep children a safe distance away from activities. Thank you!
