2021 Street Improvement Project - Construction Update Friday, July 9, 2021
This week, T.A. Schifsky & Sons, Inc., the contractors for the City of Vadnais Heights 2021 Street Improvement Project, continued work on utility improvements on Suzanne Court, Suzanne Avenue, Martin Way, and Southwood Drive and will continue with this work through next week. Next week, the contractor will begin removing and replacing spots of concrete curb and gutter. They will be removing and replacing bituminous and concrete driveways where curb is being removed in front of them. Homeowners will be notified beforehand if their driveway access will be temporarily blocked or their water is temporarily shut off. Once curb has been poured, it takes one week to cure before you can drive on it so please stay off of any new concrete. Sidewalk access on Rice Street will also be affected during concrete pouring; please pay attention to any barriers in the walking lane. Visit our City website for FAQs on Hydrant Flushing & Discolored/Odorous Water. There should always be at least one lane of traffic open, so it should not impact any access to and from the area but please be patient as traffic will be slower. There will be disruption, so thank you in advance for your patience. Please keep children a safe distance away from activities. Thank you!
