Weekly Update - 2020 Construction Friday, July 31, 2020
This week, Bituminous Roadways, the contractors for the City of Vadnais Heights 2020 Street Improvement Project, will continue with construction on Thomas Court, Lambert Creek Lane, and Tessier Trail. The final layer of asphalt is expected to be laid this week, weather depending. Once the asphalt has been rolled and cooled, you can drive on it again. Work on turf restoration is also expected, including laying black dirt and seeding the area to reestablish grass. This will take time to grow, so please be patient. Construction will also continue on Arcade Street with utility improvements. Please note, if at any time your water is discolored, you should flush your line and leave your water running for a while. Once the line has been cleared, your water should return to normal. These bolts are rusted and dirt can get into the pipes during improvement work. Concrete pouring is likely to begin next week as well. Please do not drive over any of the new concrete for one week to give it time to cure. Entrances to City Hall parking lot may be effected. If entrances are blocked, please use the entrance and exit off of County Road E. Residents will be notified if their driveway will be blocked or if their water is temporarily shut off. There will be disruption, so thank you in advance for your patience. Please keep children a safe distance away from activities. Thank you!
