Boards & Commissions

The Vadnais Heights City Council is supported by three specialized advisory commissions whose members focus on specific issues, like planning and parks.

After studying the issues, these groups make recommendations to the City Council. Each commission is comprised of no more than seven members, who are appointed by the City Council to serve three-year terms.

New Youth Representatives - Are you interested in local government, real estate development, park and trail planning, or timely health and safety issues?  If you are a Vadnais Heights resident and student between 15-20 years of age, the City is accepting applications to serve as a youth representative on each of the three Commissions. Representatives are not required to vote on any action items, but are expected to attend meetings and engage is discussions as necessary. Thoughtful feedback from youth residents can foster strategic policymaking, so your voice is needed in local government.
