The Vadnais Heights Fire Department (VHFD) serves the City of Vadnais Heights which includes 13,565 residents, hundreds of businesses and two major interstates all within 8.3 square miles. Established in 1970, the VHFD has served vital public safety and community service functions throughout its history.

Want to learn how to install your car seat properly and for free? Do you now if your car seat is expired or has recalls on it? Our trained technicians will teach you everything you need to know to make sure your car seat is fitted and installed correctly.

Closest Unit
In 2016, the Ramsey County Fire Chief’s Association formed a Mutual Aid Agreement to automatically dispatch the closest emergency response unit, regardless of jurisdictional boundaries, for certain critical emergencies such as structure fires, cardiac arrest and ice/water emergencies.

All buildings in the City are required to have and maintain a fire certificate of occupancy, issued by the Fire Chief.

Lock Box
All apartment, commercial and industrial buildings require a lock box and must follow the lock box mounting requirements in an approved location by the Fire Chief.
