The City of Vadnais Heights is seeking Paid-On-Call Firefighters to provide fire suppression activities, rescue, hazardous material, and emergency medical services.
Requirements: Must be 18 years of age or older and possess an appropriate driver’s license valid in the State of Minnesota. Must reside within an eight-minute drive time of the City of Vadnais Heights Fire Stations. Exceptions may be made for persons who reside outside the eight-minute response time, but have a business or place of employment and the ability to respond to calls during working hours within the required response time. Another exception may include part-time assigned shift work as an emergency responder.
A high school diploma or the equivalent is desirable. Post-secondary or technical college courses in firefighting are desirable.

The City of Vadnais Heights is accepting applications for temporary spring/summer help in the public service, and parks and recreation departments.
Public Service applicants will perform a variety of tasks in the maintenance of parks, buildings, grounds, public utilities, and streets in the following areas: Maintain ball fields, park facilities, and public buildings; operate and maintain vehicles, equipment and power tools; perform tree planting, mowing, trimming, ball field grooming, sodding, garbage collection, and street repairs.
Multiple positions open for summer seasonal, 40 hours per week
Must be 18 years of age and have proof of a valid driver's license.
Minimum pay is $9.00/hr.
Parks and Recreation applicants are needed for the following:
Intern Parks & Recreation – (8 am – 4:30 pm Monday through Friday from May – August with the ability to have a flexible work schedule)
Plans, organizes, implements and evaluates a wide variety of activities, special events and projects under the direction of the Recreation Supervisor; Performs departmental tasks, including writing reports and recordkeeping; Lead summer activities and fill in for staff, when required.
Requirements include knowledge of recreation programs and activities offered by a municipal parks and recreation department; Currently enrolled as a student in good standing studying Parks and Recreation Administration or related field.
Salary is $10.00/hr.
Preschool Playground Leader (8:30 am – 12:30 pm Monday through Thursday from June 15 – August 6)
Assist in the organization of weekly themes, arts and crafts, daily games and activities for youth ages 3-5; Responsible for overall safety of all participants.
Requirements include one year experiences working with youth ages 3-5; Demonstrate leadership ability under limited supervision.
Must be at least 17 years of age.
Salary is $9.00 - $10.00/hr.
