The City of Vadnais Heights provides residents with utility services including water and sanitary sewer. The City provides water through the use of four public wells. Sanitary sewer flow is collected in City mains and transmitted to larger diameter pipes that are owned by the Metropolitan Council. The City does not own or operate a sanitary sewer treatment plant.
If you have questions regarding the location or size of City utilities please contact City Engineer Mark Graham at 651.204.6050 or at mark.graham. Private utilities are provided to properties within the City by CenturyLink (telephone), Comcast (cable television, internet and telephone), Connexus (electric) and Xcel (gas and electric). If you have questions regarding private utilities, please contact them directly.
Utility bills are sent to residential and commercial properties on a quarterly basis. Bills are mailed in January, April, July, and October.
Customers are given 30 days to pay their utility bills. Payments may be sent by U.S. mail or dropped off at City Hall. Payment can be made at anytime, day or night, by using the drop box located on the driveway on the north side of City Hall.

Are You Moving into the City?
If you will soon be calling Vadnais Heights “home”, please contact City Hall two weeks prior to the move. This will ensure that a change will be made regarding the person responsible for paying a utility bill.
When calling, you will need to tell us the date you’re moving into your new home; the name that will be on the account; and the property address. Please call 651.204.6022 or email leslee.maki with this information.
Are You Moving Out of the City?
If you’re moving out of your home, it’s important that you let the City know at least two weeks before you move. Please contact leslee.maki or call 651.204.6022 to schedule a final utility bill.
