Thank you for visiting the City of Vadnais Heights, a vibrant community with strong neighborhoods, thriving businesses, and beautiful woods, lakes, and wetlands.

Called “home” by about 13,500 people, Vadnais Heights is located in northeast Ramsey County. The City covers 8.5 square miles. Our neighbors are White Bear Lake, White Bear Township, Little Canada, North Oaks, Shoreview, Maplewood, and Gem Lake.

Vadnais Heights is an active community. In fact, 60 percent of our residents are involved in the annual celebrations of Heritage Days and Taste of Vadnais, according to a survey conducted by Decision Resources, Ltd. This is the highest rate of participation of any community in the seven county Twin Cities area.

The survey also confirmed what we had hoped – people are very pleased with their lives in Vadnais Heights. Decision Resources reports that 96 percent of residents rank the quality of life in Vadnais Heights as either “excellent” or “good.”

A hallmark of our City is Vadnais-Sucker Lake Regional Park. This scenic and recreational jewel boasts 1,200 acres of woods and lakes. In addition, Vadnais Heights has more than 100 acres of active parkland. The natural habitat gives the City a unique charm and a bit of a rural setting.

Attractive Place to Live and Work
We have a wide range of housing, including executive housing, starter homes, and an assortment of attached residences.

Vadnais Heights’ commercial tax base is solid. Our industrial sector includes Reel Precision Manufacturing, Vadnais Technologies, IC System, Medical Graphics, Dynamic Air, GML, and the corporate headquarters for H.B. Fuller, SEH, and Festival Foods.

We also have a growing retail-service sector comprised of shops, restaurants, and other amenities.

Educational Opportunities
Educational opportunities abound, benefiting residents and businesses alike. A large portion of the City is served by the White Bear Lake Area Schools. A smaller portion is served by the Mounds View Public Schools.

For people interested in post-secondary education, Century College is close by. And, because of Vadnais Heights’ convenient location, there is easy access to all of the colleges and post-secondary institutions in the Twin Cities metro area.

We are just minutes away from Saint Paul and Minneapolis. Major roadways serving Vadnais Heights include 1-35E, I-694, and Highways 61, 96, and 49. Click here for a local map.
